PVC is a thermoplastic polymer. It is constructed of repeating vinyl groups (ethenyls) having one of their hydrogens replaced with a chloride group. After PE and PP, PVC is the third most widely produced plastic worldwide. PVC is often used in construction. It is cheap, durable, and easy to assemble.
Like PE, PET, PP and PS, PVC also has to be recycled. Therefore special recycling machines are needed. Because PVC is often mixed with plastic bottles containing PET or other plastics like PS and PP the recycling machines must be able to separate the mixed waste.
Recycling PVC with our machines is very important as it reduces the load on landfills. Traditionally PVC has not been recycled because of the cost of virgin resin has been lower than recycling the resin. With the help of TLT recycling machines this is no problem anymore.
Recycling of post-consumer PVC is technically feasible. With our recycling machines the costs of recycling clean and homogeneous waste streams are totally acceptable. As the PVC production is expected to exceed 40 million tons by 2016 new recycling technologies become more and more important.
Processing of any mixed plastics in pure fractions of PE, PP, PS, PET and PVC- that’s what our recycling machines do. Optimal separation and recycling are the results if you work with TLT technology!
