      Recycling plants for plastic bottles

Plastic bottles are typically used to store liquids. In a plastic bottle you can store water, soft drinks, motor oil, cooking oil, medicine, shampoo, milk or ink. By the time plastic bottles are empty or not needed anymore they are given away to be recycled.

Plastic Bottles are recycled to reuse the material of which they are made out. Today plastic bottles are often made of PET. By recycling plastic bottles you also reduce the amount of waste going to landfills.

The empty plastic bottles - in the recycling industry, they are often referred to as "post-consumer PET"-are collected and separated from other household waste. If it is a deposit bottle they are sorted anyway. Then all plastic bottles are taken to recycling centres. If it is needed there they are separated again from any other materials apart from PET.

To recycle the plastic bottles they are crushed, washed, separated and dried. Recycling companies will further treat the plastic bottles by shredding the material into small fragments. These fragments still contain residues of the original content, shredded paper labels and plastic caps. Therefore they have to be removed.

The best way to recycle plastic bottles is to use one of our recycling plants. We developed a technology which made it possible to even separate PE from PP. Find out more about our recycling plants for plastic bottles, mixed foils, cable plastics, etc. on our website www.tlt-recycling-eng1.de!
